Manifesting and Making it Happen: 2024 Vision Board Planning

MQC kicked off 2024 hosting our annual Vision Board Party to do our self-card activity, #23 Bring Your Vision to Life. To get the party started, we did an intention setting led by MQC’s Tianna Christine who picked the word “Shift,” which was so fitting for this event. Following the intention setting, MQC’s Andrea Nesby discussed coming across a woman’s vision board with a turtle. This served as an important reminder from the story on the Hare and Tortoise: Slow and Steady Wins the Race. You don’t have to race to do everything at once. That’s the fastest way to tire yourself out. Just pace yourself.

It was then time to get inspired to create our vision board. Some women shared how they haven’t done one in years. We discussed different themes to include on our vision boards to align our goals with. These themes include career, relationship, travel, health, leisure, self-care goals, and more. When it comes to elements that can go on a board, they can include inspirational quotes, mantras, words, and phrases in additional to inspiring photos, graphics, and gifs.

We then discussed what to keep in mind when it comes to goal setting. Although a vision board is a general representation of your goals for the year, it’s still important to ensure your goals are SMART:

  • Specific
  • Measurable
  • Attainable
  • Realistic
  • Timely

You can keep track of your progress using tools like Trello.

After discussing what goes on a vision board, we took time to answer some reflection question to get us ready to create our vision boards. Some questions included:

  • What is one outcome you want out of this year?
  • What qualities do you want to adopt?
  • What energizes you?
  • What habits do you want to change?
  • What skills do you want to learn?

After reflecting, we created our vision boards! We thank everyone who joined us to plan out their 2024 goals. Vision boards can be such a powerful visual reminder of what you’re capable of achieving. Have you created yours?
